Kyocera's Bluetooth-enabled phones and accessories meet the same standards as all other Class II Bluetooth phones. The range of device also depends on the class and the distance of device a Kyocera phone or accessory is being paired with. For example, if trying to pair with a Class 3 device (which has a shorter range than Class 2), the range of transmission will differ.
Kyocera phones support Low Power Mode (LPM), which doesn't drain our devices as quickly as devices that don't have LPM. Again, however, battery life depends on whether or not the pairing device supports low power mode. Kyocera has built in a "stay awake" feature in our Bluetooth-enabled phones when pairing with these devices that don't support LPM.
KCI has tested more than 50 of the most popular devices to ensure that it works with all Class 2, 1.2, 2.0 and 2.1 version headsets, speakers, laptops, car kits, handsets and PDAs. If a connection cannot be made with a pairing device, it could be that the pairing device doesn't support the necessary type of Bluetooth.
Carriers have the ability to enable/disable any profiles on the phone. Therefore, it is completely up to the carriers to allow/disallow data transfers via Bluetooth.
Kyocera Bluetooth-enabled phones and accessories are guaranteed to work completely with cars verified through Kyocera interoperability testing.
Viruses can only attack phones or devices that have operating systems, such as Palm, Windows, Mac, Symbian, etc. Kyocera does not have a Bluetooth enabled phone with an operating system. When Kyocera does offer a phone with an operating system and Bluetooth technology, every effort will be made to safeguard phones from viruses.
